THE DANVERS POLICE DEPARTMENT PROGRAM
Drug Abuse Resistance Education
THE DANVERS POLICE DEPARTMENT D.A.R.E. PROGRAM HAS BEEN
OPERATING IN THE DANVERS SCHOOL SYSTEM FOR OVER TWENTY
(20) YEARS.
THE GOAL OF THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM IS TO SIGNIFICANTLY
REDUCE/ELIMINATE THE USE OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND DRUGS.
THE D.A.R.E. CURRICULUM IS THE FIRST IN AN INTERRELATED SERIES
OF MULTIPLE COMPONENTS THAT INCLUDE THE IMPORTANCE OF
DECISION MAKING, WHAT PEER PRESSURE IS ALL ABOUT, AND THE
IMPORTANCE OF RECOGNIZING AND CHANGING DESTRUCTIVE
BEHAVIOR.
THROUGH THE YEAR, THE DANVERS POLICE DEPARTMENT SPONSORS
MANY D.A.R.E. EVENTS SUCH AS:
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL SPORT PROGRAMS
 SATURDAY BOWLING LEAGUE
 SCHOOL DANCES
 SUMMER DAY CAMP
WE ARE PROUD OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS MADE THROUGH THE
D.A.R.E. PROGRAM AND ON BEHALF OF THE DANVERS POLICE
DEPARTMENT AND THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM; WE WOULD LIKE TO
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
